How to level up quickly in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth

Digivolving your Digimon and reaching MAX level with them can be quite a task in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. This guide shows you how to grind levels in the most effective way.

How to get a Tactician USB

The key item for receiving a big amount of EXP is the Tactician USB. Tactician USBs can not be bought in any shop, as they are only developable at the DigiFarm. When you select a Farm Island, choose the option Develop and spend 1,000 Yen. This is the only development level that will provide you with Tactician USBs, better or lower development qualities give you completely different items. The chance of actually receiving the right item is pretty low. Therefore you should increase your probability by adding Farm Goods to your farm.

If you have enough money to do so, buy five Developer Know-How at the DigiLab’s Terminal. One will cost you 25,000 Yen, but they will greatly increase your change of getting higher quality items. Use them on your farm by selecting them at the Farm Goods menu point and make sure that only Digimon with the personality attribute Builder inhabit the island you’re planning to develop at.

Here comes the trick. Go fighting for a while and come back when the development clock has only a few minutes left. Save your game at the last minute and reload if you get any other item than the Tactician USB. Sometimes it took me just two or three tries, other times twenty. One successful run will grant you two USBs, which can then equipped by your fighting Digimon.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth PlatinumNumemon

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth’ MVP PlatinumNumemon

Now you will need Digimon to make the most of your Tactician USBs. Both Platinum Digimon, PlatinumSukamon and PlatinumNumemon, have the Special Skill to increase your EXP earned in battle. PlatinumSukamon might be slightly easier to obtain due to its Ultimate level, but it only provides you with two equippable slots. PlatinumNumemon, on the other hand, is strong enough to fight on its own and offers you one extra slot, increasing your experience outcome drastically.

You wann know how to get PlatinumNumemon? In our Digivolution Guide, you can find out how to easily evolve PlatinumSukamon or PlatinumNumemon out of your current Digimon. If you choose to go for grinding with PlatinumNumemon, make sure to take the Etemon route, as this grants you the skill Nightmare III and provides your PlatinumNumemon with a strong attack for fighting on its own.

All three Digimon must be set actively in battle for the skill and and items to work. If you have trouble fighting your enemies, you can also change one PlatinumNumemon to another Mega level Digimon live WarGreymon, which should easily wipe your enemies with one attack, especially when you choose a dungeon with only Virus type Digimon.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Level up

What are the best farming spots?

The best dungeon for grinding greatly depends on your current story progression. I would definitely suggest using a Digital Network – the levels you fly instead of walking normally – as they allow you to get into fights way faster. Simply move your stick up and down as soon as you come to rest at a waypoint and combat will trigger within a second. If you grind with three PlatinumNumemon, choose a dungeon with many Digimon of the Data type. Now use the auto-attack option and enjoy getting around 80,000 EXP per fight while leaning back and watching your team easily fight through Champion level Digimon.
