Thanks to the DualShock 4’s headphone jack, using a wired PlayStation headset was never any easier. For those who are neither a fan of Sony’s official wireless headset 2.0 with virtual 7.1 sound nor the crappy mono headset included with your PlayStation 4 system, Sony offers a neat compromise solution.
This December, PlayStation users will get the option to buy an official in-ear stereo headset, featuring deep bass audio and a special noise-cancelling technology called AudioShield. This will require an included battery, which can be charged directly at your PS4 and lasts for about 15 hours. The European PlayStation Blog announced the headset to come at a price of €90, which is a tiny bit less expensive than Sony’s previous 7.1 headset. Moreover, Sony confirmed that their new product will also work with your PlayStation Vita, smartphone, or tablet, making the price even more reasonable. In Europe, Sony’s official PS4 In-ear Stereo Headset will launch December 9, 2015.
