10 Most Anticipated Series of the Anime Fall Season 2015

September is over, so it is time to take a closer look at this year’s anime fall season and to decide which series are worth checking out. As in my previous most anticipated series lists, I won’t mention any sequels of already aired series. Although you might really look forward to watch one of those anime, do not expect to find the second season of Haikyuu!! or Owari no Seraph in this article. Sadly, the upcoming fall season does not offer as many interesting shows as the previous mind-blowing summer season. However, I was able to pick ten series which look promising enough to make a place on this list.

Shinigaming10. Comet Lucifer

The artsy fantasy adventure Comet Lucifer is definitely one of this fall season’s eye candies. Through its already aired PVs, studio 8bit proves that they are capable of combing beautiful character designs with marvelous animation. Hopefully, the plot will be more promising as it seems to be. Yet, art and soundtrack should be worthy enough to give the series a closer look.

Shinigaming9. Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai

Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai

At times light entertainment can be so pleasing. Although Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai doesn’t feel as high-toned as other series of the season, it will certainly give you a nice time giving your brain a break. With its standard character cast and a charming protagonist, nothing can go wrong with this upcoming harem anime.

Shinigaming8. Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid

valkyrie drive mermaid

Call me hentai, but I can’t make such lists without putting at least one ecchi fan service anime in it. The video game adaption of Valkyrie Drive brings not only a lot of sexiness, it also shows countless yuri elements, which won’t leave a dirty mind so quickly. So if you’re looking for some nudity, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid is the best this season has to offer.

Shinigaming7 . Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou

Concrete Revolutio Choujin Gensou

Superheroes haven’t only influenced Western entertainment. Even the very successful animation studio Bones want to be part of the current hero hype and presents us Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou, an action loaded anime about superhumans set in a kind of different Japan. Especially the unique and extravagant character design makes this series a must-watch of this year’s fall season. Maybe this is the perfect chance for comic fans to make themselves familiar with Japanese animation series.

First episode’s broadcast: Oct 4, 2015

Shinigaming6 . Kidou Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans

Kidou Senshi Gundam Tekketsu no Orphans

If a new Gundam anime premieres, it is probably worth to be checked out. After ups and downs within the Gundam franchise, we’ll hopefully see a suitable follow-up this time, since the trailers show a lot of potential. Especially with its absolutely stunning character design, Kidou Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans might be the new Gundam series we have all been waiting for.

Shinigaming5 . Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru

Sakura-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru

With a title called A Corpse buried under Sakurako’s Feet, how can you not be curious about this show? Even though mystery anime had quite a hard time to please weeaboos and otakus, this anime adaption of the famous novel might be able to turn the tide and give mystery series another chance to shine.

First episode’s broadcast: Oct 8, 2015

Shinigaming4 . Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider

Subete ga Fni Naru The Perfect Insider

Not only Sakurako might increase the popularity of mystery stories. After last year’s extremely well rated Japanese TV drama, it is finally time to give the anime adaption of the manga and novel series Subete ga F ni Naru the possibility to get even more people interested. Since The Perfect Insider franchise has such an enormous Japanese fanbase, I won’t be surprised if even Western anime and manga fans become Insiders.

First episode’s broadcast: Oct 9, 2015

Shinigaming3 . Young Jack Black

More experienced anime fans might have heard of manga mastermind Osamu Tezuka’s amazing work Black Jack. As the series is still pretty popular, especially in Japan, it’s not really a surprise that the anime adaption of its prequel called Young Black Jack finally makes its debut on Japanese TV. Don’t miss the chance to get into one of the most successful anime and manga franchises of all time. It’s undoubtedly worth a try!

Shinigaming2. Garo: Guren no Tsuki

Garo- Guren no Tsuki

Since the previous anime of the Garo franchise was one of my personal highlights of last year’s fall season, it was an easy decision to put its newest series on our second place of this year’s most anticipated fall anime list. This time, Studio Mappa concentrates on a less old-school character presentation and gives us another opportunity to enjoy their perfect use of CGI elements. If you’re into dark fantasy, heroes and tragic stories about life and death, then this should be worth checking out.

First episode’s broadcast: Oct 10, 2015

Shinigaming1 . One-Punch Man

one punch man

There has only been one anime adaption I’ve been personally longing for, and finally I have the opportunity to get my eyes on the animated series of One-Punch Man. Those who have never heard of One-Punch Man have now the chance to experience one of the most hilarious and exciting series of anime and manga history. With its stunning character design – don’t be fooled by the main protagonist’s appearance –, unbelievable sense of humor, and a story that kicks butt, it was way too easy to decide which anime tops this list off.
